• The Reef books only one wedding per day, so the coordination team and the event spaces belong to your celebration alone for the whole day.
• The beach ceremony site is rated for up to 250 guests, so a large guest list does not push the ceremony off the sand and indoors.
• A natural cenote set in the resort gardens works as a second ceremony site for up to 30 guests, giving an inland, shaded alternative to the beach.
• There is no minimum room block and no minimum guest count, so the same wedding department handles an elopement for two and a 150 guest celebration.
• If rain threatens, the resort makes the call 24 hours out and moves the wedding into its air conditioned indoor ballroom at no additional cost.

• Accommodation isn't included in any wedding package; the couple's own room must be in the group booking for group benefits to apply.
• A federal beach use fee applies on top of the package, from 420 USD for 8 to 70 guests up to 680 USD for 101 to 200 guests.
• Outdoor beach events run to 1am with municipal permission and drop volume after 11pm; indoor ballroom events run full volume to 3am.
• The booking deposit is 800 USD and non refundable, though it can usually move to a new date subject to availability.
• Sargassum season on this coast runs roughly May through October, so a summer beach ceremony may need seaweed worked around in photos.
• Legal civil and Catholic style ceremonies must be booked as part of a wedding package rather than contracted alone; there's no chapel on site.

• Tell guestsThe resort sits inside the gated Playacar community, so send the resort's own map pin rather than the name alone. There is no minimum room block and no minimum guest count here, but your own room has to sit inside the group booking for the group benefits to apply.
• At the airportIgnore anyone offering a ride between the arrivals door and the curb, however official they look. Only pre-arranged and federally authorized transport may pick up at the terminal, and the walk-up offers are where the overcharge stories come from. Ride-hailing apps work for the trip back to the airport but are unreliable for arrivals, so do not plan a pickup around one.
• Book the drive before you flyReserve a private transfer in advance: the driver meets you with a name sign, at a fixed price agreed up front, and tracks your flight if it runs late. What to ask the wedding office

Send these verbatim. Each one is either unpublished, negotiable, or changes with your date.

1. The outside photographer fee and day pass charge for our date, in writing; we've seen 300 USD, is that current and per vendor or per day?
2. Which deposit figure applies to us: the rate sheet and wedding FAQ say 800 USD non refundable, but the packages page advertises 700 USD.
3. The federal beach use fee at our exact guest count, since it steps from 420 to 680 USD across the guest bands.
4. A room block quote for our date, since accommodation isn't included in any package and December pricing runs well above shoulder rate.
5. Written confirmation of what the 9 USD additional guest charge covers; we understand it's the ceremony head charge only, not dinner.
