You want dinner and dancing on the sand until late.Entertainment has to stop at 10pm on the beach, a full hour earlier than the rooftop, courtyard and terrace spaces.
Your date falls between April and October and the beach is why you chose it.Sargassum season runs roughly April through October, and Costa Mujeres is less sheltered from it than the Playa Mujeres resorts just south, so the beach that sold you the resort is not guaranteed in those months.
You want a flower girl or young nieces and nephews there.The resort is adults-only, so no children can attend the ceremony or reception. It is a hard stop rather than something a coordinator can waive.
You want the package price to be the price.Several of the best spaces carry a venue fee on top of the wedding package, quoted in the low four figures, so the package price is a starting point rather than a total.

From behind the camera

How the light works here

This coast faces roughly east, out toward Isla Mujeres, so the sun rises over the water and sets behind the resort rather than over the sea. That is better news than it sounds. From about two hours before sunset the light runs down the beach as warm side-light instead of blasting into your guests' faces, and a ceremony set roughly an hour before sunset holds that glow all the way through the vows. The rooftop deck sits above the buildings with open sky as the backdrop and takes the same late light cleanly, while the Jungle Pool Terrace stays shaded and even much earlier in the day. Getting-ready suites here have tall floor-to-ceiling windows that throw big, soft, directional light with nothing added. After dark the courtyard string lights and the resort's pale modern architecture bounce off-camera light beautifully, so a late reception still looks intentional.

The best time to start your ceremony

Arch's own rule for this coast is to begin the ceremony about 90 minutes before sunset, which leaves the vows in soft light and still keeps time for portraits. Start times are rounded to the half hour for these coordinates. Costa Mujeres, Quintana Roo. UTC-5 all year: the state left daylight saving in 2015. Times are town level, so they run within a couple of minutes of the property.
