When another venue fits better
Every point is drawn from the venue's own published terms and documented weddings. None of it makes this a bad venue.
- You want one per guest number.NIZUC is a European Plan resort with no published wedding packages, so every element of the day is quoted separately rather than bundled into a per guest price.
- You are working to a hard ceiling.Two published photographer guides put a complete celebration for 60 to 120 guests somewhere between USD 70,000 and 250,000 or more once venue, catering, planning and vendors are added together. Neither figure comes from the resort.
- You are bringing your own photographer.The resort keeps a preferred vendor list and does not publish its outside vendor terms, so ask for the current policy and any fee in writing before you sign anything.
- You are sending guests a name and expecting them to find it.There is a separate all inclusive called Moon Palace Nizuc in Cancun, under the Palace Resorts brand, which sells its own wedding packages. A guest or a driver working from the name alone can end up at the wrong property.
- Your date falls July through October.That is the resort's own low season and it overlaps the corridor's rainy months, which is when the indoor ballroom stops being a nice to have.
- You want your group's spending to be one number.The property is not all inclusive, so guest room nights, dining and the wedding itself are three separate budgets rather than one number your group can spread across itself.

Arrival, and where you get ready

- Punta Nizuc, the southern tip of the Cancun hotel zone, Blvd. Kukulcan km 21.
- 6.4Tell guests
- Give them Blvd. Kukulcan km 21 and the resort's own map pin. Moon Palace Nizuc is a different property in Cancun and a driver hearing the name alone can take them there.
- 6.5At the airport
- Ignore anyone offering a ride between the arrivals door and the curb, however official they look. Only pre-arranged and federally authorized transport may pick up at the terminal, and the walk-up offers are where the overcharge stories come from. Ride-hailing apps work for the trip back to the airport but are unreliable for arrivals, so do not plan a pickup around one.
- 6.6Book the drive before you fly
- Reserve a private transfer in advance: the driver meets you with a name sign, at a fixed price agreed up front, and tracks your flight if it runs late. How the light works at NIZUC Resort & Spa
The resort sits on a point with the Caribbean in front of it, so the main beach fronts open water to the east and a recent photographer guide notes the sun drops behind the property rather than into the sea. Plan for soft, even late afternoon light on the sand rather than a sun-into-the-horizon frame, and treat first light as the strongest window if you want the beach to yourselves. The resort's own copy promises sunset views from the A'Kan Terrace and from the private dock, and photographers who work here single out the Terra Nostra deck for the same reason, so an hour spent scouting with your planner is worth it. Sian Ka'an is the one interior room with real light, a 21 foot ceiling and floor to ceiling windows onto the ocean.
The best time to start your ceremony
Arch's own rule for this coast is to begin the ceremony about 90 minutes before sunset, which leaves the vows in soft light and still keeps time for portraits afterwards. Start times are rounded down to the half hour. Cancun hotel zone, Quintana Roo. UTC-5 all year: the state left daylight saving in 2015. Times are town level, so they run within a couple of minutes of the property.
