Ride-hailing apps work for the trip back to the airport but are unreliable for arrivals, so do not plan a pickup around one.

How the light works at Hotel Ether
Tulum beach faces east, so the sun rises over the Caribbean and sets behind the jungle and the hotel line rather than over the water. In practice that means the beach falls into open shade in the late afternoon while the sky stays bright, which is flattering light for vows and keeps nobody squinting. A ceremony starting about 90 minutes before official sunset leaves room for portraits before the light goes. The trade-off is that you get a pastel cotton candy sky over the ocean instead of a sun dipping into the sea, and twilight arrives fast once the sun drops behind the treeline. Blue hour on this coast is worth staying out for: the shallow turquoise water still glows and the white sand bounces light back onto faces. The property publishes nothing about evening or reception lighting, so assume it needs to be planned and brought in.
The best time to start your ceremony
Arch's own rule for this coast is to begin the ceremony about 90 minutes before sunset, which leaves the vows in soft light and still keeps time for portraits afterwards. Times are town level, so they run within a couple of minutes of the property.
